Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 8 tbsp Flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp yeast
  • vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 tsp Butter

Instructions
 

  • Start by mixing all the ingredients well (except butter). We beat until we get a homogeneous dough (but without beating too much).
    The batter should not be too thick, but nottoo liquid either.
    1 Cup Milk, 8 tbsp Flour, 1 egg, 2 tbsp Sugar, 1/2 tsp yeast
  • If you wantpancakes with a very good touch, add a few drops of vanilla extract to thebatter.

  • Pour a little butter in a frying pan. Letit melt and spread it well all over the pan.
    When thepan is hot, pour a little of the batter (to taste, depending on how big youwant to make them).
    1 tsp Butter
  • Once you see that bubbles start to come out of the top and that it is no longer liquid (enough bubbles, do not run to turn it over when the first one comes out), turnit over and let it cook on the other side.
  • Your pancakes are ready. Now all you must do is "dress" them as you like. With cream and syrup of your choice, with fruits and honey, with a littlepowdered sugar…

NOTE: I recommend that you use up all the dough, as it is not advisable to save it for overnight use.

The pancake in the United States

It is believed that this dish has its origin in Lent, since at this time the Church prohibited the consumption of many ingredients, such as meat, eggs or milk. Back in the fourth century, during Lent, they began to prepare a kind of cake, very thin, made with flour and water. They made a dough which they spread on very hot stones. This is how the first pancakes were born.

Later, milk and eggs were allowed to be eaten during Lent, which were added to the dough of flour and water, and gave rise to this spectacular and delicious recipe.

During the Middle Ages, it was believed that the first three pancakes to be cooked were sacred. Therefore, they were marked with a cross and not eaten.

And so much for our recipe for quick and easy pancakes. Dare to try them, they are super easy to make and they will only take you 15 minutes.

But we also had to bring you the best tricks to get perfect pancakes! Let’s go with them:

Tips to obtain delicious pancakes

   Do not over beat the dough. We only beat the batter so that all the ingredients are well integrated. Once they are integrated and without lumps, do not continue beating, you could make your pancakes look like chewing gum.

   Make the batter just before making your pancakes. So that the yeast does not lose its qualities, do not make the batter too long before you are going to cook the pancakes, as it will lose its effect. Let it rest for only 5 minutes, so that it settles and the pancakes are super fluffy.

    When it is time to cook them, use a ladle so that they all have the same amount of batter and are exactly the same. And pour the batter without moving your hand or spread it around the pan, but in a single point, which will be the center of our pancake.

    This way the presentation of your pancakes will be perfect. Remember that we eat for eyes, if it is beautiful, it will be more pleasing.

    So that the first pancakes do not freeze while you finish with the remaining dough, make them in a large frying pan or on a griddle. This way you can make several at once. Because making one pancake per batch… and more if you are many people, is very tedious, and the first dishes will be cold.
