Prawns Russian Salad Recipe, a simple but delicious dish
For this recipe we will use the shrimps already cooked. You can buy them this way, or cook them yourself if you want to save a few euros. Cooking the shrimps is very simple, as we have already seen in: how to cook shrimps and prawns at home; simply, we will put a large pot with plenty of salted water and a bay leaf. Bring to the boil. Meanwhile, prepare a bowl with cold water and ice, which we will use to cut the cooking time and prevent the prawns from being overcooked.
As soon as the water starts to boil, add the shrimp, wait until it starts to boil again and take them out to transfer them to the water with ice.
If you have decided to cook the shrimps yourself, we can cook the potatoes of our Russian salad in the same water. This way, they will get more flavor. But if you have bought the shrimps already cooked, there is no problem, we will cook the rest of the ingredients in the usual way.
Remember also that the shrimp salad, like the classic one, will be much better if we make our own homemade mayonnaise. Although if you want to innovate, or you are preparing this dish for a special occasion, the Pink Sauce or Cocktail Sauce will also be great.

Ingredients
- 2 potatoes
- 300 g Cooked shrimps
- 2 Eggs
- 3 Carrots
- 5 Crab sticks
- 1 can Corn
- Mayonnaise
- Salt
Instructions
- In a small pot put the eggs and enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil and cook for ten minutes from the moment it starts to boil.After this time, cool under the tap with cold water. Set aside.
- We continue cooking the vegetables.Wash the carrots and potatoes well and, without peeling, put them in a pot with water and a teaspoon of salt. Cook for about 30 minutes, until they are tender.
- When the vegetables are tempered (so as not to burn) peel them. Cut them into small cubes and put them in a bowl. We also incorporate the drained tuna.
- We will also incorporate the peeled and diced eggs. The same with the cooked shrimps, previously peeled, which we will cut in small portions. Also add the can of corn, drained, and the finely chopped crab sticks.
- Let it cool, add the mayonnaise (to taste), mix well and we have a great Russian salad with prawns.
