Vegetarian Mushroom Pizza Recipe

Today we bring you a 100% vegetarian homemade pizza, this time with mushrooms. For this recipe you can choose the mushrooms you like and combine them as you prefer. This vegetarian mushroom pizza is a perfect option for a meal as a unique dish or for a quick dinner.

You can prepare the dough yourself. Either by preparing a thick and fluffy pizza dough like the one we have chosen to make our pizza, or by choosing any other type of dough you like.
If you are in a hurry you can always make this pizza on a ready-made dough, although it is always better to make it homemade.

You can also give it your touch by adding any other ingredient of your choice, for example black olives, any type of bell pepper or cherry tomatoes.

Ingredients
  

For the dough

  • 1/2 Cup flour
  • 1 Tbsp Yeast
  • 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/3 Cup Water
  • Salt

For the Pizza

  • 3 Tbsp tomato sauce
  • mushrooms (mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, poplar mushrooms…)
  • 1/2 spring onion
  • Sliced mozzarella cheese
  • Grated cheese

Instructions
 

For the pizza dough base

  • In a bowl, put the flour, yeast and salt. Mix well and make a well in the middle. Add the warm water and the olive oil. Mix well with a wooden spoon until it is homogeneous.
    1/2 Cup flour, 1 Tbsp Yeast, 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Salt, 1/3 Cup Water
  • Then put the dough on a smooth and previously floured surface and knead with your hands for about 5 minutes. Until it is smooth. Make a ball and put it back in the bowl. Cover with a cloth and set aside.
    Let it rest for at least half an hour until it rises.
  • Once it has rested, continue kneading until the dough has tension. That is, if it returns to its shape, it is ready. Shape it and cover it with the tomato and grated cheese.
    3 Tbsp tomato sauce, Grated cheese

For the Pizza

  • Continue by adding the sliced mushrooms and the spring onion in thin julienne strips. Finish with the mozzarella and a little more grated cheese.
    With the oven preheated to 350ºF, put the pizza in the oven and let it cook for about 15 minutes, until the dough is ready.
