Do you like teas? If you are passionate about infusions and teas, you will know that there are many alternatives to prepare homemade teas; a very simple and original way to give them a different touch to the classic teas. Like this one we bring you today, the recipe for green tea with mint and lime.

Green tea is one of the most popular infusions, and this healthy drink is loaded with natural antioxidants. This antioxidant power prevents cell damage caused by free radicals, as it promotes cell regeneration and prevents premature aging. But this is only one of its countless properties and benefits. Among them is also its ability to improve our dental health; to prevent heart disease; and to avoid colds and flu.

Therefore, it is a good idea to include it regularly in our diet. In addition, we can drink it both hot and cold. A good cup of freshly brewed tea will brighten up any winter morning. But if we prepare a green tea with mint and lime, well chilled, it will be a perfect and refreshing substitute for soft drinks on the hottest days.

But before starting with the recipe, if you like herbal teas, do not miss this Hot Toddy recipe, or kombucha tea, a natural probiotic that is also very healthy.

But the truth is that it is always much more beneficial, and will bring us much more flavor, to make them homemade. As natural as possible, and avoid the sachets sold in the supermarket.

In addition, we can combine them with the ingredients we prefer and give them a multitude of different flavors by adding our favorite herbs or fruits.

Regarding the lime, you can substitute it perfectly for lemon; and mint for peppermint or any other similar aromatic plant. Try with the combinations that you like until you find your favorite.

If you want to give it an even more intense lime flavor, when you infuse the tea, add the peel of the lime or lemon. But remember to peel it very well and not to take the white skin, because it is bitter.
