Celebrate National Gingersnap Day

Despite the fact that Gingerbread Cookies are associated to winter, to Christmas, in the middle of summer we find the National Day of Gingerbread Cookies. A date typical of the United States, which established July 1 as the day to commemorate these delicious cookies. Origin of this popular sweet

Gingerbread cookies have their origin in Gingerbread. A sweet first made by the monk Gregory of Nicopolis, in the 11th century, in Greece. This bread also contained rose water, cinnamon, cardamom… In addition to making the first recorded gingerbread, he was also responsible for bringing the recipe to Central Europe.
