Caprese salad is a typical Italian salad, it is a very easy recipe to make and with very few ingredients; but the combination of ingredients could not be better. Personally, it is one of my favorite salads. Because of how simple it is and how delicious it is. Its ingredients are tomato, mozzarella and basil, you don’t need anything else to get an authentic caprese salad. But you can give it another touch by dressing it with pesto sauce.
This Italian caprese salad recipe is an ideal choice as a first course or as a light dinner, which, in addition, you will have ready in just 5 minutes.

Remember that this salad has very few ingredients, so don’t skimp on the quality of the ingredients to make it great. Buy good, ripe, fleshy tomatoes and real buffalo mozzarella. Plus fresh basil leaves.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tomato
  • 250 g Fresh mozzarella cheese
  • Basil
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Modena vinegar
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions
 

  • We begin by washing the tomato and basil well. Dry it well with kitchen paper. Cut the tomato into slices and place them on a plate.
    Basil, 1 tomato
  • Also cut the mozzarella into slices, and place a slice of mozzarella on each slice of tomato.
    250 g Fresh mozzarella cheese
  • Remove the stem of the albaccia leaves, place one leaf on each slice of mozzarella. Season with a little salt, to taste, a little black pepper and a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Serve.
