Baked prawns, Christmas recipe
Ingredients
- 1 Kg Raw Prawns
- 8 Cloves Garlic
- 1 bunch Parsley
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Coarse salt
Instructions
- We will begin by washing the prawns very well. We are going to remove the whiskers to prevent them from being uncomfortable when serving them.Place the prawns in a baking dish, avoiding that they are mounted one on top of the other.
- In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180ºC.
- We continue with the garlic and parsley majao. We put both ingredients in a mortar. We can chop them previously to make the task easier. We crush well, until we can hardly see too big pieces of garlic, and we add a good splash of oil. Mix well with the garlic and parsley.
- Sprinkle the prawns with this mixture (you can reserve a little to sprinkle the prawns again once baked), salt to taste, and bake for approximately 8 minutes. When the prawns take color, they are ready. And now we have ready some great baked prawns, perfect for Christmas.
As you can see, this recipe is very simple. Moreover, as we said, you can use it with many other types of seafood. It is very easy and, with very few ingredients, you will get a ten starter.
How to serve them?
These prawns do not need great accompaniments. On the contrary, by themselves, without any kind of garnish, they are a great dish. But if you want to decorate the dish where we are going to serve them, prepare a little more oil, garlic and parsley sauce, and sprinkle them with it once they are baked; or serve them in a small bowl with the prawns.
You can also accompany them with a simple garnish of lettuce leaves. But don’t add too many ingredients or we will hide the magic of the simplicity of this dish.
With lemon, if you like it, they look great. Remember that a citric touch goes great with almost any seafood. And with these Christmas baked prawns, it is no different.
Finally, if you like sauces, although the majao adds a great flavor, we can also serve our prawns with pink sauce, or homemade mayonnaise.
